Our Catholic tradition provides funeral support for families facing the loss of a loved one. “Companions for the Journey” offers the bereaved an opportunity to share God’s love with the support of the community. “Companions” is envisioned as being a like-to-like ministry. We are looking for those who have a desire to be a companion with another who has newly experienced a loss. Companion will be trained to help oneself and others explore mourning using Scripture, prayer, reflection and faith sharing. For further information. Questions? call or text or e-mail Anne at 605-361-1600; 605-321-3883; email@example.com.
A SPIRITUALITY STUDY FOR WOMEN MEETS the first and third Thursdays of each month from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. Different Catholic spiritualities are studied and applied to our lives. Authors like Richard Rohr, Ronald Rohlhaus, James Martin SJ, Sister Joan Chittister, Joyce Rupp, etc are explored.
Parishioners are invited to explore the Bible using the Sunday Readings for the coming week. All of the readings are delved into for background and meaning. Participants are then encouraged to discuss how they can best relate these teachings to their lives. This group meets on Monday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.
Want help to develop a spiritual life capable of living in the real world and being at the same time attentive to the Spirit? Books are chosen to assist participants in discerning their spirituality and encourage them to explore their knowledge of themselves and their world. This book study group meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm weekly.
